We have all heard it before… “You are what you eat!”

Well, I couldn’t agree more and I have been on an amazing journey to being my healthiest version of me that I have been in many years, and I owe a major part of that success to the fuel I put into my body.

During the last two years I have had to endure many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries. One of the main contributing factors to how I have been able to thrive through all of that and the side effects that come along with it all, is changing my diet.

The more I research how to fuel my body to get maximum results in my life the more I realize that God gave us all we need to heal and thrive in life through vegetables, fruits, herbs, and water.

Oxidation is something that starts the aging process of any living thing. The browning of an opened avocado is from oxidation. This process also happens inside our bodies. The exciting thing about realizing this is that we can actually have a little control in either speeding up that process or slowing it down.

I have learned that the more acidic foods such as processed foods, fast foods, animal and dairy products to name a few speed up the oxidation and aging process inside our bodies, promoting illness, inflammation, and even disease.

Adversely, more alkaline foods such as, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and lentils to name a few, will give our bodies the nutrients it is looking and starving for while allowing our digestive systems to process it all easier.

Less waste in our bodies means less toxins, less inflammation, less mucus, and most important, less illness that we have to deal with as a result of it.

I want to dedicate this section of my website to sharing with you recipes, tips and advice that I get results from in hopes for you to get the same or better results in your life as well.
